Lake Tahoe weddings, photographed in full — every hour, every guest, every generation.
A wedding photographer & film covering the whole day — the same one, start to finish. Traveling beyond the basin by request.
The room will never be that full again.
Your grandmother will dance at nine o'clock, long after everyone assumed she'd gone home.
It happens once, it happens fast, and it happens while you're busy being the center of attention. Somebody has to be watching the room instead of being in it. That's the job — so that when the adrenaline finally drops, you get the whole day back.
“Armando and his assistant at AJ Photography were nothing short of spectacular for our wedding. From the start, with our enchanting engagement photos in the snow, we knew we were in excellent hands. Armando has this incredible knack for capturing the essence of moments, making even the simplest of scenes look breathtaking. His ability to blend candid and posed photography ensures that each photo tells a part of our love story.”

“Armando was exactly what we were hoping to find in a photographer. We started working with him for our engagement photos which was in Colorado. He had another event that conveniently coincided with him being in our state that gave us the opportunity to work together from start to finish. We knew he would take more candid photos which is what we wanted, more of a fly on the wall to capture our guests interacting with each other.”
CandiceYou shouldn't have to book a call to find out the price.
Every collection and every add-on is listed on this site, down to the dollar. No "starting at," no pricing guide gated behind an email address, no consultation required before you can find out whether I'm in your range.
Here's the other one, since we're being direct about it: on a full wedding day I bring a second photographer, but I am always one of the two. You will not be handed to an associate you've never met. The person you talked to is the person in the room.
Hi, I'm Armando.
I've never once told anyone to look natural.
I've photographed weddings across Northern Nevada and the Sierra since 2018. I'm not going to march you through a shot list during cocktail hour, and I'm not going to restage your first kiss because the angle was wrong.
What I care about is that nobody in that room goes unphotographed — especially the people who won't be at the next one.
What you get with me that you won't get everywhere:
The same photographer every time, start to finish
Family formals in twenty minutes, from a list we build in advance
A real photography timeline, sent to your planner and coordinator
Prices published, in full, before you ever contact me
An honest answer about how much coverage you actually need
“We worked with Armando and loved the photos we got from our wedding! Armando was very responsive, easy to communicate with prior to our big day, detailed oriented, and honest about what locations would look good versus would not look good which I appreciated it. He made me feel like he was there to genuinely capture our big day instead of just getting paid. The very next day we got a preview of some of our photos and WOOOW. Great quality and we can’t wait for the rest.”

Whole days, start to finish
Three weddings, each one covered end to end. Not highlight reels — the ordinary parts of the day as well as the peaks, which is much closer to what actually lands in your gallery.
Tahoe Blue Estate
Thirty guests, one house, and a grandmother who had everyone in tears before nine in the morning.
Winters Creek Lodge
It rained all day. They did the first look under umbrellas anyway, and the mountain gave them a rainbow at sunset.
Sunnyside Lodge
Private vows at the first look, on the west shore, before anyone else had seen her.
Three collections. All the prices. No calls required.
Starting at $3,400. Every collection includes the timeline, full editing, a private online gallery, and print rights to every image — order prints anywhere you like.
The full day adds a second photographer, so nothing important happens in a room I'm not in. Albums, 35mm film, and rehearsal dinner coverage are there if you want them and absent if you don't.
Three steps, and the first one takes a minute.
Send me your date
The form takes about sixty seconds. Date, venue, rough guest count.
We talk it through
A call if you want one, email if you'd rather. I'll tell you which collection actually fits, including when that's a smaller one than you expected.
Hold the date
A signed contract and a 25% retainer. From there I build your timeline and you stop thinking about photography.
I probably already know your venue.
Based near South Lake Tahoe and working throughout the region — both shores, Carson Valley, Truckee, and the surrounding Sierra. I know where the light lands at Edgewood in September and which Truckee ceremony sites go dark early. That's a practical benefit more than a selling point: it means less of your day spent waiting on me to work something out.
Travel beyond 60 miles is quoted honestly — mileage and lodging, not a marked-up fee.
Common questions
-
Mine run $3,400 to $6,250 depending on hours and what's included, and every price is listed on the pricing page. Across the region you'll generally see $4,000 to $7,000 for a full day from an experienced photographer.
-
Most couples book nine to fourteen months out. Peak Tahoe Saturdays between June and September go earliest. If your date is sooner than that, ask anyway — sometimes it's open.
-
Twenty minutes, if there's a list. Without one they can eat an hour of your cocktail hour. We'll build yours before the day.
Let's start with your date.
Send me the date, the venue, and a little about what you're planning. You'll hear back within [one business day] with availability and full pricing — including if I think your date is better served by someone else.
